Our History

The Blanco National bank was established in 1906 and was originally located in the County courthouse building on the square in downtown Blanco. The first president was A.B. Davis. In the same year a bank committee was elected to buy the courthouse for $3,200.00. In the 1920's the courthouse was sold to Chas. E. Crist who was the bank president from 1932 until 1940. Percy T. Brigham was president of the bank from 1940 until 1964 followed by Aaron Posey who served as president from 1964 until 1994. A motor banking facility was added to better serve our customers in 1987, and in 1971 the main bank was expanded and remodeled. The current president of Blanco national Bank is Mark E. Tidwell.

Blanco National Bank has been the symbol of stability in Blanco County for 90 years and hopes to continue to serve the community in the same friendly and efficient manner. Blanco National Bank is a proud member of the Texas Hill Country is committed to community involvement and advancement.
